Worqen v1.0.0 — Landfall · Changelog

v1.0.0StableCurrent

Landfall

Released September 2, 2026

Worqen leaves beta. The escrow behind milestone hires has held real money on Solana mainnet since the mainnet launch, and the upgrade that brought hourly work onto it was executed in place, through a multisig. Milestones, disputes and reputation have been through repeated release cycles on live funds, and hourly work has been running on them since that upgrade. Nothing about signing up, hiring or getting paid changes today; the label does.

Highlights

Worqen is out of beta
Real money held in escrow on Solana mainnet since the mainnet launch
Fill your profile from a CV, checked field by field before any of it is applied
Identity results repair themselves when an update from the provider is missed

Launch

ChangedWorqen has moved out of public beta. Nothing about signing up, hiring or getting paid changes — the label now matches what the marketplace has been doing.

Profile & reputation

AddedYou can fill in your profile from your CV. Upload a PDF, Word or text file and Worqen pulls out your name, headline, summary, location, work history, skills, languages and links as a draft you check field by field — nothing reaches your profile until you apply it.
AddedYour profile page has a card for filling it in automatically. From there you can import a CV, connect LinkedIn or upload a LinkedIn data export, and reopen an import that is waiting for your review.

Authentication

FixedAn identity check that was approved but still showed as pending is repaired on its own. Worqen re-checks the result with the verification provider on a schedule and updates your status, your badge and your notifications.
FixedWorqen now recognises an identity check that a human reviewer is still holding, and shows it as pending review. That state used to produce no update at all until the reviewer finished with it.

Website

AddedThe Worqen Discord community is linked from the site footer and from the blog, alongside the other social accounts.

Known limitations

Worqen runs in the browser. There are no mobile apps, and notifications reach you in the app and by email rather than as push notifications on a phone.
On fixed-price and milestone work there is no automatic release. If work is delivered and the client never responds, the freelancer opens a dispute, which carries its own on-chain deadline after which anyone can trigger the payout. Hourly work is different: a billed week releases on its own once its seven-day review window passes, whether or not the client acts.
On fixed-price and milestone work the platform fee is not returned when a funded hire is cancelled or a dispute is decided, even when the money goes back to the client in full. On hourly work the fee follows the hours, so the fee funded against hours that were never billed comes back with the unbilled budget.
Once the freelancer has started work on a funded escrow, the client can no longer cancel it alone. Ending it early then means agreeing a mutual cancellation or opening a dispute.
A Platform Wallet is custodial: Worqen stores its key, encrypted, so a forgotten password does not lose the funds. A self-custody wallet or a connected external wallet stays entirely yours.
Sending funds out of a wallet yourself needs a small amount of SOL in it to pay Solana network fees.
Payouts are made in SOL, USDC, USDT or EURC. There is no bank withdrawal and no fiat on-ramp.
